Dick Hutcherson drove in Nascar competition from 1964 to 1967. In 1965 Dick finished second in the overall Nascar drivers championship with nine wins, in 1967 he finished third overall but after only four seasons of Nascar competition he retired at season’s end. Hutcherson served as crew chief for David Pearson in Pearson’s championship seasons 1968 and 1969, he then became general manager for Holman-Moody. In 1971 Dick and Eddie Pagan formed “Hutcherson-Pagan Enterprises” and started building race car chassis and supplying parts to the Nascar teams.
