Nitrile rubber is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. In addition to its excellent elastomeric properties, it is resistant to oil, caustics, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Nitrile is not suitable for solvents and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Calendered Nitrile (Buna-N) is FDA approved per spec 21CFR 177.2600 and complies to the following specifications: ASTM D 2000 - M1BG 607 Z1, 707 Z2, 803.
