Precision Ammunition is proud to announce a new line of frangible
ammunition – Copper-Matrix NTF™ Non-Toxic Frangible Ammunition.
Our Copper-Matrix NTF™ bullet is the best frangible product on the
market today.
Copper-Matrix NTF™ ammunition is a patented product designed
specifically for the training of police, military and security personnel.
This ammunition consists of a bullet formed from copper and polymer,
loaded to SAAMI specifications. The frangibility characteristic enables
the shooter to engage steel or other hard targets at virtually point-
blank range. The bullet disintegrates upon impact with any hard
surface, thus eliminating dangerous splash-back and ricochet.
For this reason, Copper-Matrix NTF™ is particularly well
suited for use in tactical training. Steel targets can be shot
from much closer ranges than other types of ammunition.
“Shoot houses” can be constructed from steel plate, as
opposed to the heavy armored steel/rubber anti-ricochet
panel/plywood construction, which is common in the industry.
Collateral damage to range structures is drastically lessened.
The performance of these rounds allows the tactical team
to train safely and effectively with the maximum amount of
realism.
Copper-Matrix NTF™ bullets are not sintered or hardened
as are many other frangible bullets. Because of this, the
bullets are much more “target-friendly”. We have essentially
eliminated the dinging of steel targets of AR500 hardness or
higher with our rifle and shotgun loads. This will reduce the
operating cost of your range.
The Copper-Matrix NTF™ bullet is completely lead-free and
poses absolutely no environmental challenges. In fact, the
bullet residue is completely recyclable. If Copper-Matrix
NTF™ is used exclusively on your range, the residue can
be collected and resold since the only metal in the bullet is
copper.
It is Precision Ammunition’s goal to design rounds that
mimic to the fullest extent, duty ammunition used by law
enforcement agencies. The round gives the same point of
aim/point of impact, muzzle flash, weapons function and
perceived recoil as in firing current duty rounds.
