This contemporary Native American handcrafted Sterling Silver Multi-gem Inlaid Link Necklace was designed by Navajo artist, Calvin Begay. Calvin Begay is considered by many to be one of the best Navajo inlay designers working today.

The links are inlaid with all kinds of gemstones , from jasper, to Wild Horse, black onyx, MOP, turquoise and lab opal. The design is very abstract with a southwestern flair. The stone to stone inlay is flawless.

The necklace is made up of 11 inlaid links with solid silver backs and 9 plain silver links. The intricate channel and stone-to-stone inlay is impeccable, like all of Calvin Begay's jewelry. The links range in size from the center slightly V-shaped link, which is 1-1/8" long and 5/8" wide, graduating down to 5/8" long by 1/4" wide links. The back of every inlaid link is solid sterling silver. The backs of the non-inlaid silver links are open. By leaving the backs of the silver links open, the weight as well as the price of the necklace is reduced, without sacrificing the structure and beauty of the necklace. This technique is used on the necklace only - not the earrings. There is a hidden clasp and safety chain.

The matching drop earrings for pierced ears feature the same design and stones. The inlaid 2-piece earrings measure 1-3/8" long, they have solid silver backs and they are for pierced ears. Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift Box and Certificate of Authenticity included.
