OUR STORY
Like gallant ponies from
yesteryear…they are ridden around the lot for one last time. Each
one is given a final bath, dried off and then carefully inspected as we
note the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Each is unique in its own special way. All have their own quality features--some aftermarket, some
factory, and some homemade--and all where added by their previous owners. Some are very, very special, with custom chrome lights,
hard-to-find chrome engine covers, chrome caliper covers, custom seats,
and more. Then there are
others--just plain wings, looking very old and tired. We often wonder about what roads they have
traveled, what secrets they hold, and how they ended up at Used Gold
Wing Parts, Inc. in South Florida. Sometimes the last owner has part of the answer; other times we
find maps, books, photos, and receipts of the places they have
been…but very rarely do we get the whole story. We are only left to wonder and imagine the better days for these
classic machines.
Now the end of the road has come for these ponies, as they are brought
into the warehouse, a glue factory of sorts, where motorcycles are taken
in and parts are shipped out. Sometimes proprietor Mike Cutter calls himself a
“Motorcycle Mortician,” one that specializes in used Honda Goldwing
parts from 1980 to 1990. Cutter says, “It’s almost morbid when you
think about it. I have had
some Wings that did not deserve to be here, some in near pristine
condition. I always say
that I’m going to ride this one home and save it from the factory, and
then someone calls for the parts and it’s over.” Cutter says, “It’s a necessity to keep other Goldwings that
are still with their owners running and riding.
Located in sunny south Florida, Used Goldwing
Parts, Inc. is family owned and operated and has one of the largest
collections of Goldwing parts from 1980 to 1990 on the East Coast. We started out about five years ago as a motorcycle shop that
sold damaged sports and cruiser bikes.
We quickly learned that the Goldwing riders were a
special group of people with whom we enjoyed dealing, many of them very
grateful that we had the parts to fix their bikes.
We soon sold off the entire sports bike inventory and began purchasing
only Honda Goldwings; at one point we had over 40 Goldwings in stock for
parts.
We have since learned it is better to strip the
bikes down, toss out the junk, and preserve only the best parts in
marked plastic buckets.

With thousands of happy customers, we take a lot of pride in our
used parts, standing behind what we sell, making sure to give an
accurate description, and sending photos when needed.
We have tried to price our parts within reason, and when we have
a big supply, we reduce our prices to help our customers. With this in mind, there just are some parts that are so hard
to find they are worth three times more than they cost new. For example,
has anyone seen my GL1200 battery cover???
We are looking forward to the future.

and we are adding more parts to our online inventory system.
We plan to add a yard sale, classified ad, and auction sections
to our site. We continue to
add motorcycles to our inventory and we are going to start offering some
new after-market parts.
These things take time… and even though the word “Gold” is in our
name, this is not always the truth.
While we may not grow rich overnight, we do grow richer in spirit,
soul, and happiness by offering our quality parts for sale to Goldwing
riders around the world.
