Alaska Charity Motorcycle Trip Donations for Deaf Babies
$ 10.00 Pledge per mile 1/10 cent per mile1/5 cent per mile1/4 cent per mile1/2 cent per mile1 cent per mile2 cents per mile3 cents per mile4 cents per mile5 cents per mile Back
When you check out, you can select the name of a biker which include Corey Langridge, David Nies, Eddie Azevedo, George Bageant, Howell Walton, John Dickie, Kathy Moran, Marion Joffe, Mike Langridge, Mike Tuccelli, Neville Joffe, Rick Moran, Robert Brown, Stephen Anderson, and Thomas White as of May 17, 2013 100% of your donations will go to SKI-Hi (see www.skihi.org) which helps deaf and/or blind babies and their families. You can select the amount you want to pledge when you check out. Research suggests that 92% of babies born deaf are raised in families where no one else is deaf and that 96% of these families cannot effectively communicate with them. No wonder Helen Keller said being deaf is worse than being blind because these babies are "separate from people". If you think these babies can lip-read, I can assure that lip-reading isn't as easy it appears to be. Silently mouth "Fridays, fried eggs" "I love you, I'll have two, I have to, elephant shoes", etc. and you will easily see that if you are born without a language, how can you lipread? When deaf babies receive sensory stimulation and language intervention through SKIHI.org, they have a good chance to be a part of the family and not be isolated. You can donate a pledge per mile. Your credit card will show "DrSign's M and M Productions" and you will receive a tax deductible receipt from the charity, SKI-HI (see their website www.SKIHI.org. How much to donate? If you sponsor one of us at 1/10 cent per mile, then you can donate $10. At 1/2 cent per mile, it's $50. At 1 cent per mile, $100 2 cents, $200, 3 cents, $300, etc. Again, you will receive a tax deductible receipt directly from the charity! Follow us at www.AlaskaBikeRun.com beginning July 27, 2013 and see our progress with video clips daily! If you would like to donate DIRECTLY to SKI-HI, please use this link www.skihi.org .
