As a Deaf ASL senior lecturer at the Universityof Florida, he offers Sign Language DVDs and the World's Largest Silent Weekend / Interpreter Conference.

DrSign was the University of Florida's Teacher of the Year 1999-2000 and 2009-2010 and has a waiting list of three years for his "World's Most Exciting Foreign Language" classes.

His annual Florida/Alaska Motorcycle Benefit run raises funds for SKI-HI to help parents of deaf children.
